The Reality of Change - How do we engage the unknown? We do it together!
I believe that positive change can launch only with the acceptance of change itself. Life experience and lessons learned have taught me to first look inward to initiate change. My career path itself is an evolution of working and learning. Acquired skills are crafted to be relevant, responsive and adaptable. If someone asks me, “How do we engage others in the unexpected, in change?” For me, leading change means enabling others to lead. Please explore these highlights below to get an idea of what I can offer you and your company in delivering creative and collaborative adult learning.
TeamSail, Business Leadership and Team-building
Words can’t express the life influence this group has had on me. Our staff, corporate clients, professors and EMBA students inspired me to attain my M.Ed. degree. Safety, Challenge, Fun has been our mantra for more than 15 years, and counting.
People to People Student Ambassador Programs
Here I joined with dedicated staff in ‘walking the walk’ of educational leadership. Our Washington D.C. team's 24/7 days committed to bringing safe educational travel to students led me to look further into how adults can best work and learn together.
Oakcliff Sailing Center, Marine Industry Training
This not-for-profit center works to bring talented sailors together with world-class marine industry professionals to raise the level of professional sailing in America. My focus is with the student programs for sailors ages 15-30.
Red Lion Templin's River Queen Captain
Training crew and treating passengers to safe, informative and fun cruising has been my summer pleasure and privilege for many years. That's me in the wheelhouse, ensuring top performance of our vessel and Red Lion crew members.
Our world grows bigger with technological opportunities and a related need for a knowledge-based labor force. Yet we also face a shrinking planet as a consequence of the same technology, in addition to environmental demands and available resources. I want to be part of the successful collaborative solution; one in which we move forward enthusiastically and together, with eyes wide open. Please see my Educators as Learners page to glimpse more of my work.
